Churton Pinot Noir 2007

Churton Pinot Noir 2007

Tasting Notes

Hand picked and hand sorted for the best ripe berries went into this complex silky wine that shows intense dry musky rose like perfume combined with black cherry fruit, earth and spice. This wine is full flavoured with nice fatness in the mid palate and fine grained tannins - has a long finish of earthy savouryness. Sam thinks pan fried duck breast on sage infused risotto, I tend to agree.
Talk to any winemaker and they basically agree that Pinot Noir is a very difficult grape to bring the best out of it.....it takes years of winemaking skill and a cool hand to steer the ship when producing Pinot of this high standard.
