Chateau Pech-Celeyran Languedoc Cuvee Sixtine VDP 2009

Chateau Pech-Celeyran, Languedoc - Cuvee Sixtine VDP 2009

Tasting Notes

Juicy comes to mind when I think about this wine. Located on the edge of the Massif de La Clape, the estate is 140ha including 38 of pine forests and scrublands. There are 94 acres of vines growing on a mixture of clay-limestone, chalk and shells soils and are influenced by the maritime climate.

Colour has depth, the nose is lifted with sweet dark berry fruit. The palate has lots of spicy fruit and good soft tannins. The oak in this wine is taking very much a back seat.

Great for a glass while cooking dinner and then finishing it with pasta, steak or chops.

It is made from Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot and Grenache.
