Simon Hackett McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Simon Hackett McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Tasting Notes

Medium bodied red with intense purple red colour. The nose has a top note of lifted confectionary sweetness. Fresh cherry, ripening strawberry with cassis backing. The palate is smooth and rich, it has good balance throughout with soft accessible tannins lightly dusting the sweet ripe blackberry dominated mid-palate. The American oak sits comfortably towards the back palate.

This wine being an 2006 has it "altogether" - with age the various components merge and make a seamless journey through the palate.
