Dixon Creek, Yarra Valley - Quatrain 2005

In the classic Bordeaux claret tradition this is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon/Petit Verdot/Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Colour is deep and the nose is deep and showing sweet fruit and integrated oak. The palate is long and savoury showing dark fruit and good structure which the Petit Verdot brings to the table. It has seen french oak combination of old and new and some of this is coming through but in an attractive way, the palate is long and satisfying.

Good with roast meats and game
