Domain Day Saparavi 2004

The Saparavi grape originated from the Black Sea Republic of Georgia. It has very intense colour and produces wines which have great longevity.
Deep purple with a slight reddish hue......juicy red and dark berry fruit characters with a subtle cranberry lift on the nose. This wine is medium bodied and on the palate there are fresh berry fruit, plums and semi-dried prunes. It has good acid, supple viscosity and a integrated tannins.

I really like this wine, I find that the structure is very similar to a shiraz and is very satisfying when I have the need for a medium bodied style. Great steak wine.
