Domain Day Lagrein 2004

Purple/red in the glass with juicy mulberries on the nose with a hint of spicy, briary wood complexity. On the palate it has unique tree fruits and herbal notes, plums and dark berry fruits reminiscent of ripe mulberries. Highlights of light vanilla oak, nuances of mint and equcalypt. I find this wine firm and vibrant finishing with clean acids and lingering fleshy berry fruit. it is very savoury with dry tannins and goes beautifully with rich food because it is more on the medium bodied side and will not over power the flavours.
